For Toulouse Capitole University, Sciences Po, or the IAE, the city center puts everything within walking distance: Carré Saint-Sernin is at the Jeanne d’Arc station (Metro Line B), and Denfert Rochereau is a 4-minute walk from Jean Jaurès, where Lines A and B intersect. For Paul Sabatier University, the IUT, or Rangueil University Hospital, the Aristote residence in Rangueil eliminates the need to travel on Line B. On the west side, Campus 15, in La Patte-d’Oie, is a 3-minute walk from the Arènes hub (Metro Line A, tram, and TER). Univers City, in the Amidonniers neighborhood, is less than 500 meters from the Manufacture des Tabacs and TBS.
Where can students go out at night in Toulouse?
Place Saint-Pierre, on the banks of the Garonne, is the historic student hangout, with outdoor seating areas packed as early as Thursday evenings. Les Carmes, Rue Gabriel-Péri, and the Arnaud-Bernard neighborhood, just behind Saint-Sernin, are other popular spots for bars and small restaurants. When should you start looking for student housing in Toulouse?
