Mulhouse is a city that understands that studies are much more than what happens in class. There are several schemes, such as the culture card, which provide discounted entry to museums, shows and the city’s cinemas. Its cultural institutions have no reason to envy their neighbours in Strasbourg: La Filature, le Noumatrouff, the Sinne and Poche Ruelle Theatres offer countless opportunities for an evening out.
The city is dotted with green spaces: the zoo and botanical garden as well as berges de l’Ill park all offer residents spaces to relax. Its campuses, including Illberg and fantastic surroundings, as well as the recently added Foundry campus, provide great quality working environments. Mulhouse therefore stands out as a choice city for studying, as does the Foundry area. A young and dynamic place to be, it is home to our Les Belles Années student residence.

Symbolising Mulhouse’s industrial past, the Foundry neighbourhood has been given a new lease of life.
The former foundry workshop, recently converted into a university campus, hosts some 1500 students. The neighbouring industrial village, also undergoing a wholesale makeover, is transforming into a digital village with the aim of welcoming start-ups, a TechLab, training courses or even events linked to the digital world by the end of 2018. Located two streets away from the historic centre, this attractive area is particularly well-suited to students and is set to combine economic and academic activities. Regarding transport, the neighbourhood benefits from several bus and tram lines which link it to all educational hubs. The tram-train, also nearby, runs all the way to Thur valley.
Across from the La Fonderie campus
The Le Quai residence and its 148 rental accommodations are ideally located across from the Fonderie campus, on the banks of the Rhône-Rhine Canal. Just a 15-minute walk from the historic city center, the excitement of the city is within easy reach. With the bus at the foot of the student residence and the tramway a few dozen minutes away, nearby campuses and colleges, such as ESMG, HTE, Faculty of Sciences, and the Illberg campus are all easily accessible.
Located in the peaceful neighborhood of La Fonderie, our student residence “EFFUSION” benefits from an ideal location. It is possible to reach the city center as well as several schools such as EPITECH, CNAM, or the Higher Social Institute in just a few minutes on foot. The extensive transport network nearby allows for easy travel throughout the city and to enjoy all its attractions.
