Ranked top among the best cities to live in, according to l’Express in 2017, Angers has everything a student might need. A city on a more human scale, it defines good living and possesses that personal charm which is so characteristic of western France.

A traditional university city, particularly renowned for plant science courses, the numerous university campuses of Angers are home to establishments from a variety of fields. In particular, these include the ESEO, École Nationale Supérieure des Arts et Métiers, École Supérieure d’Agriculture, Beaux-Arts and even Institut National d’Horticulture et de Paysage. Located just 1 hour and 15 minutes from the beaches of the Atlantic coast, the capital of Anjou boasts the ideal setting for students all year round.

The numerous cycle lanes throughout the streets of Angers mean you can make the most of “Vélocité”, the free bicycle rental service, while the amount of green space in the city boosts the wellbeing and serenity of its residents. Being particularly young and dynamic, Angers is home to high-quality cultural offerings, especially where the Théâtre du Quai is concerned. As a student city par excellence, Angers was a must for Les Belles Années. We therefore established the Cap Avenir residence, which comprises numerous modern and well-equipped studios, at the heart of the dynamic neighbourhood of Jean Moulin.
