Toulouse city

  • 110 000 students
  • 3 residences
  • 234 apartments

Coming in second among France’s best cities for studying, Toulouse has a lot going for it: the diversity of courses, cultural offerings, an excellent transport network and the range of student schemes make it the ideal place to study.

Every year the pink city draws in more than 110,000 students; while its high-quality and varied range of courses count towards this, a pleasant environment and reasonable living costs also play a part in its great success. Toulouse has redoubled its efforts to accommodate students: public transport is widely available, at a low cost and with services running until late at night all week long.

A chequebook scheme has also been implemented to open up cultural access, with reduced prices for cinema tickets, shows, exhibitions and plays. So that students can make the most of everything the city has to offer, we have chosen to set up our Toulouse student residences in three dynamic, central neighbourhoods. Belfort, Saint-Sernin and les Amidonniers.

District city center, Wilson

  • City center
  • L'ESC Toulouse
  • L'UT1 Capitole
  • L'IAE
  • Matabiau train station

Located right at the heart of Toulouse, between the commercial area, the centre and Matabiau station, the neighbourhood of Belfort brings together all the elements necessary for student life, including proximity to the area’s main higher education institutions and universities (ESC Toulous, UT1 Capitole, IAE…).

Welcoming and convivial with its concerts and night market, it is also convenient: the attractions of the historic quarter, Capitole, the shops and bars are all just a few minutes away on foot or by metro. The proximity to numerous infrastructures (cinemas, sports complexes, a theatre...) contributes to the neighbourhood's attraction and dynamism.

District Saint-Sernin

  • L'UT1 Capitole
  • L'IAE
  • L'IEP Science Po
  • ESAV
  • City-center

At the very centre of Toulouse, to the north of place du Capitole, the imposing Saint-Sernin basilica keeps watch over a historic and authentic neighbourhood where peace and quiet offers an alternative to the lively energy of boulevard d’Arcole. Shops, restaurants, library and leisure facilities come together to create a neighbourhood which is pleasant and convenient for students. With several nearby forms of transport, the already central sector, provides access to the centre of Toulouse in just a few minutes. From here numerous schools and universities are accessed on foot. UT1 Capitole, IAE, IEP Sciences Po, ESAV…

District of Amidonniers

  • La manufacture des tabacs
  • University Toulouse 1
  • Toulouse Business School
  • Subway A
  • Subway B

To the west of Toulouse’s historic centre, between Garonne and Brienne canal, the neighbourhood of Amidonniers represents the perfect place to combine studies and entertainment. Predominantly residential, it is a calm neighbourhood which is perfect for studying. With a number of higher education hubs, it offers the benefit of being able to reach your institution of choice on foot as well as the places favoured by the young. Several bus lines and bicycle stations will enable you to easily make your way to the city’s points of interest.
